[RxPG] Bangalore, March 28 - MindTree Consulting, a leading IT and R&D services firm co-founded by former executives of Wipro, has entered into infrastructure management and technical support business.
In a statement here Wednesday, the Bangalore-based firm said the new service offering provides end-to-end responsibility of managing the IT infrastructure of global enterprises.
'Falling telecom costs and increasing web-enabling platforms are fuelling the sector's growth. In such a scenario, resources can be managed remotely, without downloading data. The domain also addresses security, a key issue. Global firms are not hesitant to share critical application with Indian vendors,' MindTree vice-president and infrastructure management head Ram C. Mohan said.
MindTree will offer server and storage management, network management, database administration and management, performance management and IT helpdesk.
Technical support will be extended to packaged applications and enterprise products, leveraging its expertise in business application development and product realisation services.
