[RxPG] New Delhi, Jan 30 - Noted journalist Rabindra Seth, who wrote extensively on the hospitality industry and travel trade, died of a heart attack at a hospital here Tuesday. He was 81 and is survived by his son Atul and daughter Anu.
The cremation is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
Widely travelled, Seth was associated with the media for more than six decades. His association with the hospitality industry started in 1972 after working for the All India Radio, the Indian Army and the Press Institute of India -.
He has also worked with the state-run India Tourism Development Corporation -, the Taj Group and the ITC Welcome Group.
Seth was also editor and on the editorial boards of Cross Section Publications for its periodicals such as Destination India and Travel Trends, besides Trav Talk and Eating Out magazines.
For the past decade, he was a regular columnist on tourism for Express Hospitality brought out by The Indian Express group.
