[RxPG] New Delhi, Feb 27 - The US-based SVAM International Inc., a leading IT solutions provider, has said it will hire 500 people for its Indian operations in Noida and Chennai which it started last month.

'The offshore development centre located in Noida augments our delivery capability and serves as a think tank and training facility, delivering cost

benefits of over 40 per cent on budgets,' said Anil Kapoor, president, SVAM International Inc., who was here recently to oversee the establishment of India operations.

'We have implemented Correct Shore-, a tiered approach to outsourced application development and support to fit its clients' budget, management style and technology needs,' Kapoor, a non-resident Indian who is a product of Delhi University, said.

CorrectShore- is a proven approach to developing and supporting software products for commercial use, Kapoor said. Features of Correct Shore include interface with SVAM's project management team locally.

According to him, the company is aiming at a revenue target of $20 million in the current financial year.

For large IT organisations, the challenging strategic demands require

a focus on containing costs while continuing to support the increasingly competitive industry climate and the unrelenting push for globalisation, he said.

SVAM provides IT solutions and professional services to public sector

agencies and Fortune 1,000 companies across industry verticals in North

America.

SVAM International has been rated 'financially strong' for several years, according to the credit rating agency, Dun&Bradstreet -.
