NRI girls' 'abduction' mystery cracked

[RxPG] Gurgaon -, Feb 26 - The two non-resident Indian - girls, who were thought to have been abducted Sunday from a prominent mall here, may have willingly flown to Mumbai with a relative, police said Monday.
The US-based girls Aditi, 20, and Ruchi, 10, were reportedly abducted from outside the City Centre mall on M.G. Road at around 5.45 p.m. Sunday, according to their father's complaint to the police.
The father of the girls, identified as Dr. Jaitley, also informed the police that the abductors forcefully drove away with the girls in a car and they could be taken to the US against their will.
'After receiving the complaint from the girls' father, we immediately launched a probe into the matter and a police team was rushed to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi,' Deputy Superintendent of Police Summit Kumar told IANS.
'As no photographs of the girls were made available by Jaitley, it became very difficult for us to identify the girls and the accused,' Kumar said.
During the investigations, it was later revealed that the girls were taken by their relative Vipul Jaitley to the domestic airport from where they took a flight to Mumbai.
'The allegedly tense relations between the girls' mother and the father might have forced them to leave for Mumbai with their relative at their own wish,' Kumar added.
'We are now trying to find out why Jaitley gave us wrong information and cooked up a story of abduction,' he said.
Police have detained the driver who escorted the girls to the airport and impounded the car used by them for further investigations.
