By IANS, [RxPG] New Delhi, Sep 25 - Over 600 post-graduates of the premier All India Institute of Medical Science - will have to wait one more month to get their degree certificates.
The convocation, which was supposed to be held Sep 25, has been postponed till Oct 23 due to busy schedule of Health minister Anbumani Ramadoss, who is the president of AIIMS.
'The minister in a fax sent to the institute had said that he is too occupied to attend the function and suggested Oct 23 as the day to hold the convocation,' said Kumar Harsh, president of resident doctors association AIIMS.
'After the court intervention the minister had signed 56 degree certificates of the 70 students waiting to get their degrees. This is not expected from the health minister of the country and it seems he is playing with our career,' Harsh told IANS.
All the post-graduate students, who have passed out of AIIMS since June 2005 are awaiting their degrees.
AIIMS, which was at the centre of anti-quota movement last year, has witnessed conflicts between its director P. Venugopal and Ramadoss.
