[RxPG] Patna, April 19 - Nearly two million students in Bihar who passed out Plus Two school examinations between 1980 and 1989 are faced with a piquant situation after they were issued certificates with the name of the candidate's father missing on it, prompting the education authorities to take measures to rectify the omission.
The Bihar Intermediate Council, which issued the certificates, undertook the massive exercise after the students complained that they were facing problems getting employment because of the omission on their certificates.
'The names of fathers of these students were missing from the official records of the council,' council secretary Srinivas Chandra Tiwari told told IANS.
'The council has already issued advertisements in newspapers, asking students to submit photocopies of their matriculation certificates from the college they passed out,' he said.
All intermediate colleges have been directed to submit photocopies of matriculation certificates of the students to the council so that the omission could be rectified, the officials said.
