[RxPG] New Delhi, May 9 - The 53rd National Awards for 2005-06 were further delayed Wednesday with the Delhi High Court staying the announcement till July after receiving a complaint of corruption in the selection process.
Justice Kailash Gambhir said the union information and broadcasting ministry should consider the allegation by jury member Sahyamli Banerjee Dev before declaring the list of winners.
The judge has asked the ministry to redress the complaint over the Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Black' being declared best feature film.
'Since the dissent is by a jury member, it is serious,' said the court.
The ministry was directed to file its reply with the decision of the jury before the court by the next date of hearing, July 26.

According to sources, there was a debate among jury members over 'Black' getting the best film award because many felt that it doesn't qualify for it.
