[RxPG] Kochi, May 16 - 'Vinodayathra' continues to top the list of favourite Malayalam films as new release 'Goal' makes an entry on fifth position.
The top five Malayalam films are:
1. 'Vinodayathra' - This family entertainer, directed by veteran Sathyan Anthikad and starring Dileep and Meera Jasmine, has ended the lull in the hero's career.
2. 'Big B' - After 'Mayavi', this is yet another winner for Mammootty, directed by Amal Neerad. The film depends on style rather than content. It seems the style may prove to be a trendsetter in Malayalam cinema.
3. 'Chotta Mumbai' - After a long gap one gets to see Mohanlal in an out-and-out comedy role. Director Anwar Rasheed puts his own stamp on the film.
4. 'Athisayam' - The fantasy film by Vinayan, targeting kids with a bagful of special effects, does succeed in luring the young audience.
5. 'Goal' - Director Kamal is on familiar turf, directing a host of newcomers in a film with football and boarding school as its backdrop.
