By Ashwin, UK Correspondent, [RxPG] The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) is offering an award for projects that explore the history of general practice.
The RCGP Rose Prize, offered in association with the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London, is designed to stimulate interest and research into the history of general practice.
The Award is open to all who are, or who have been, involved in primary healthcare but are not professional historians. The work must have been undertaken in the last two years and co-authored entries will be considered.
Written submissions should not exceed 8000 words, but audio visual formats and museum installations will also be considered. The deadline for entries is 31 December 2004.
The award will be presented in May 2005 and the winner will receive a silver rose bowl
