The GMC�s Education Committee started a consultation today on Principles of Good Medical Education and Training.
The broad principles being consulted on are the undamental principles underlying medical education and training. These include selection, curricula and assessment. The rinciples document can be used as a guiding document for all of those involved in medical education and training. The consultation demonstrates the GMC�s commitment to promoting high standards of medical education co-ordinating all stages of medical education transparent policy development with partner organisations equality and diversity patient-centred health care. GMC President Sir Graeme Catto said �Principles of Good Medical Education and Training should encourage us all to consider the wider context in developing policies and procedures for specific areas of education and training.�
