[RxPG] New Delhi, May 9 - The Lok Sabha was adjourned again till 2 p.m. Wednesday as members of India's ruling coalition, the Samajwadi Party and the Left insisted on discussing the police-engineered killings in Gujarat.
The lower house, which went through the question hour without disruptions, plunged into chaos at 12 p.m. when MPs sought permission to take up the issue of fake 'encounters' by the Gujarat Police for discussion.
Speaker Somnath Chatterjee sought to point out that as per the rules a calling attention motion on the Sethusamudram Canal project in Tamil Nadu and the row over its alignment should be discussed before any other issue.
But the furious members refused to oblige and continued to be on their feet, forcing the speaker to adjourn the house till 2 p.m.
Bharatiya Janata Party - members were also on their feet, protesting the demands of treasury benches.
Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha had witnessed similar scenes Tuesday leading to the cancellation of their business.
