[RxPG] Mumbai, April 7 - Bio-chemist Ian Frazer, who doubled up as the bowling coach of the Indian team, has been asked to leave following the side's World Cup disaster while the contract of physiotherapist John Gloster has been extended till December.
Team trainer Gregory King's contract is till December, anyway.
'Frazer's is a co-terminus case. Since Greg Chappell had brought Frazer so he too has to go with him,' a top official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India - told IANS after the working committee meeting here Saturday.
Chappell's contract ended with the World Cup.
'Gloster's contract was till the World Cup, but the working committee extended it till December,' he said on condition of anonymity as these decisions were not announced at the press conference at the BCCI headquarters.
The board also announced a series of knee-jerk decisions, mainly curbing players' income from endorsements, after India's first-round exit from the World Cup in the West Indies.
One decision was that the two national selection committees would be reconstituted with 'full-time' selectors from next year, scrapping the regional representation that has been going on for ages.
