[RxPG] Mumbai, April 7 - Outgoing Indian cricket coach Greg Chappell was admitted to a hospital here Saturday after complaining that he was feeling unwell.
Chappell, who Friday submitted his report on the Indian cricket team's debacle in the World Cup, was rushed to the Bombay Hospital.
'He was brought by his personal physician for a routine check up as he was feeling stressed,' said a spokesperson of the Bombay Hospital.
The official said Chappell had sent a message for the media that read: 'I came for a routine check up and am fine.'
Chappell underwent body profile tests including renal, lever, lipid and blood profiles, the spokesperson added.
'There is no cause for concern. He will be released after the check up.'
The former Australian captain was earlier scheduled to leave for Singapore en-route to Australia Friday evening with wife Judy but had postponed his departure to Saturday because he was not feeling well.
'His personal physician will examine the reports and decide whether Chappell is fit enough to fly out of Mumbai,' the spokesperson said.
