[RxPG] Kolkata, May 2 - Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar sustained injury in his right ankle during a practice session Wednesday at Eden Gardens.
Sources within the Cricket Association of Bengal - said that Tendulkar got hurt while trying to negotiate a delivery from pacer S. Sreesanth.
The injury might not be too serious but Tendulkar was seen limping back to the dressing room for medical assistance at around 4 p.m., the sources said.
Led by cricket manager Ravi Shastri and captain Rahul Dravid, Indian cricketers began their five-day conditioning camp ahead of Bangladesh tour here Wednesday morning.
In the first session at the Eden Gardens they went through a fielding and fitness session for 75 minutes before packing off in sizzling heat.
Venkatesh Prasad and Robin Singh led the boys through the fielding and bowling practice.
Sources also said that Robin Uthappa, pacers Munaf Patel and Vijay Kumar Yomahesh also felt unwell in the heat but resumed practice in the next session.
Dinesh Kaarthik and V. V. S. Laxman are expected to join the camp Friday.
The cricketers, after their World Cup debacle in the West Indies, looked fresh and the gloom of their dismal performance in the tournament did not reflect in their body language.
