[RxPG] Colombo, May 6 - At least three cops of the Special Task Force - were killed due to a mine explosion in eastern Sri Lanka Sunday, official sources said.
The STF men were killed at 9.30 a.m. - in Kokkadicholai in the eastern Batticaloa district due to a pressure mine explosion targeting the tractor STF party were travelling on.
The injured STF personnel were admitted to the hospital in Batticaloa.
Meanwhile, two soldiers were injured as the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam - and the military exchanged mortar fire at the Vavuniya's western sector forward defence lines, military spokesman Prasad Samarasinghe said.
A pregnant woman was being treated for injury after she was injured in shelling on Ethavatunuwewa area in north central province, police said.

The clashes in the trouble-torn north and east are raging despite the ongoing Norwegian backed peace process.
